OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2007. A current production conference devoted to the “Implementation of the Systemic Automation Project: Results and Prospects” was held in the “IDGC of the Center”, PLC in early October. Managing Directors and executives of the IT-services of the companies of the IDGC operation area as well as representatives of consulting companies, offering IT services, participated in the event.

About 20 talks were given on the present state of affairs and prospective development of the IT-systems in RGCs and IDGCs.

Yevgeni Makarov, the General Director of “IDGC of the Center”, PLC, greeted the participants with a welcoming speech. He stressed that the conference was well-timed and important for the industry.

“It is very wise that we are having this conference before the next strategic seminar, scheduled for November, where we shall determine the key points of the medium-term strategy of the “IDGC of the Center”, PLC. I hope that the decisions you are going to make at the conference today and tomorrow shall be valuable enough to be taken into consideration while determining our strategy”, noted Yevgeni Makarov.
