Volgograd Shipyard Will Build Ships for Lithuania
OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2007. Volgograd Shipyard (part of MNP) concluded the contract on a series of dry-cargo sea ships of the project DCV33. The project of the dry-cargo ships was developed by the Sea Engineering Bureau (Odessa). Dry-cargo ships will be constructed and delivered to the customer in 2009 - 2010. The multi-purpose dry-cargo vessel is intended for the transportation of general, bulk (including grain), wood and large-sized cargoes, containers of the international standard. The maximal length of the vessel - 89,99 meters, width - 14,0 meters, volume of cargo holds - 5611,4 cubic meters, speed - 11,5 knots.
According to director on shipbuilding of the group MNP Andrey Ivanov Volgograd shipyard in November, 2006 finished the construction of a series of seven dry-cargo ships of the project 006RSD05 for the company Palmali. In September this year it delivered the third twin-blade dry-cargo ship with the deadweight of 6750 tons of the project RSD19 to Irinvestship Limited (Iran). The contract on a series of the "river-sea" dry-cargo ships was concluded in August, 2005. In January the shipyard laid down the second chemical tanker of the project 4450 for the Swedish company Svithoid Tankers AB. The contract was concluded in April, 2006. In August, 2007 Volgograd Shipyard and Tanais Marina Grupp (Cyprus) concluded the contract on constructing a series of the multi-purpose dry-cargo ships of a class "Volgo-Don max" (project 007RSD07). It includes a series of four ships plus two an option.
