OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2007. In 2007, net profit of commercial seaport of Odessa will grow by 9.3%, year-on-year, to $28 million. In 2006, the port’s profit grew by 5.1%.

The port’s representatives say, the result could be better if the port got the possibility to start expansion of its container facilities in time. According to the port’s estimations, the delay resulted in loss of at least 750 million hryvnias (some $150 million). The port’s throughput is to grow 10%, year-on-year, to 31 million tonnes.
