OREANDA-NEWS. On October 16, 2007 Austria presented its noval technologies at seminar, dubbed "Ecological technologies of Austria" in Kyiv. The technologies are used to pure water, soil, process wastes and produce energy, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

Austrian Ambassador to Ukraine Josef Markus Vukatic, who participated in the seminar admitted to achievements in the sector of noval elaboration by Austria.

The participants also noted that as many as 50 representations of Austrian companies operate on the Ukrainian market.

First Deputy Environmental Protection Minister Sviatoslav Kurulenko announced about a memorandum on cooperation to be signed shortly between Ukraine and Austria. In accordance with a Kyoto protocol on climate changes. The document will enable Ukraine to develop cooperation with Austrian companies with employing equipment.

The seminar will run until October 18 and will also be held in Donetsk and Kharkiv.

Austria is in top-10 major investors into Ukraine's economy. It has invested 1,7 bn USD into Ukraine's economy over the latest 1,5 years.
