OREANDA-NEWS. On October 17, 2007 Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC (Astana), shares of which are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) category "A" official list had spread the press-release in which the following is informed, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC (EP KMG JSC, Company) announced that volume of oil extraction for nine months of current year made 7,763 th. tons. It is by 640,5 th. tons more than for the same period of last year. Increase of extraction, mainly is connected to purchasing on April 24, 2007 of 50%-ge stake of participation in JV Kazgermunay LLP (Kazgermunay). During 159 days since moment of deal till end of September 2007 stake from total extraction of company Kagermunay, belonging to EP KMG made 656 th. tons of oil.

Without consideration of stake of EP KMG in the company Kazgermunay for nine months of current year volume of extraction of the Company made 7,108 th. tons of oil, which is compared to level of extraction for the same period of last year.

According to preliminary data for nine months of year 2007 by the system of mainline oil pipeline to buyers were delivered 7,190 th. tons of raw oil (without consideration of oil of company Kazgermunay), including for export - 5,572 th. tons of oil, what is by 11.5% more than for nine months of last year.

For third quarter of year 2007 stake from volumes of sales of company Kazgermunay, belonging to EP KMG made 331 th. tons of oil, including 286 th. tons of oil for export.

REFERENCE:
EP KMG - takes third place in Kazakhstan by volume of extraction of oil and gas, exceeded 9,5 m. tons (192 th. barrels per 24 hours) in year 2006, with volume of proved and possible reserves 203,2 m. tons (1,5 bn. barrels) as of end of year 2006. Shares of the company were offered on Kazakhstan stock exchange, and global depository receipts - on London stock exchange.
