OREANDA-NEWS. On October 17, 2007 the Economy Department of KAMAZ Inc. confirmed officially the saving rate of the half-yearly work of the joint enterprise created on a par with STS Logistics holding, reported the press-centre of KAMAZ.

The parent enterprises of KAMAZ cooperated with all its services, suppliers and customers optimally.

The transport costs were cut owing to more effective physical distribution and a double-side commodity distribution network. As a result, an additional profit at the sum of 28,603 million rubles was realized. Initially it was planned to save only 15 million rubles. KAMAZ expects from the project that the transport-procurement costs will have been cut by 100 million rubles by the end of the year.

KAMAZ Inc. in agreement with STS Logistics holding created a joint enterprise – STS-KAMAZ-Logistics in autumn 2006. According to Dmitry Parton, PR-Director of STS Logistics, KAMAZ announced repeatedly that the organization needs to optimize the schemes of transportation in order to reduce a transport component of its production.

If optimization of foreign transportation is successfully realized, the joint enterprise will start a large-scale infrastructure project. There will be created a logistic park in Naberezhnye Chelny, the primary task of which will be optimization of warehouse logistics.
