OREANDA-NEWS. ACI Europe (Airports Council International – European division) has published a report on performance of 102 European airports in August 2007, the Domodedovo press service informs. According to the report, Moscow Domodedovo International airport maintains the leading position among European airports of 2nd Group which passenger traffic varies from 10 to 25 million passengers per year.

Domodedovo airport comes first with its 22,9% of growth in August (in comparison with the results of August 2007) of among fast-growing airports of 2nd Group. Second position holds Berlin airport (16,7% of growth), third position took Athens airport (11,9% of growth). Average growth ratio of the Group reached 7,5% in comparison with the results of August 2006 and 13,6% of growth in comparison with the results of August 2005.

On a wider scale, Domodedovo airport gets the 16th ranking place with passenger traffic of 2 234 000 people in August 2007.
