OREANDA-NEWS. MI-8 25152 helicopter owned by Azalhelicopters enterprise of AZAl State Concern was called in connection with the health problem of Asadov Gahraman Soltan oghlu, the stuff member of Bayil limani Exploration Offshore Drilling Department working at Khazar-4 self-elevating off-shore drilling rig within Western Absheron off-shore oil-gas field of SOCAR Complex Drilling Trust.

The patient and his co-worker Shashkayev Zahid Javad oghlu were taken on the board of the helicopter. Some time after flight the helicopter fell into the sea 200 meter away from the rig. There were 4 crew members and two employees of SOCAR-Asadov Gahraman Soltan oghlu, the engineer of Khazar-4 off-shore drilling rig, born in 1951 and 6-grade electric Shashkayev Zahid Javad oghlu, born in 1956- in the helicopter during the accident. Related official bodies were informed immediately after the accident. Vessels owned by the Caspian Oil Fleet -Garadagh-7, PSK-21, PSK-173, Orion-26, Neftgaz-10, Vikhr-7, Majik-1, Geophysics, as well as Jalgan-6 vessel with divers, 100-ton Shirwan-3, 40-ton Islam Karimov crane ships were sent to the area of accident. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov came to the place of accident. Immediately, an emergency operations center was created for enhanced rescue and recovery services, and the heads of SOCAR and related official organs included in the list of members.

Under supervision of SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and the Emergencies Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov the center carried out operations whole night in the area of accident. In spite of the darkness, the place of crash was found out and circled by crane ships and 20 divers of Caspian Oil Fleet. 2 bodies and the main parts of the helicopter were lifted from 12 meters in depth. The work in the place of accident is still being carried out. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and the minister Kamaladdin Heydarov are supervising the operations in the ship of Majik-1.
