Astrakhan III Int. Shipyard Launches the Last Hull
OREANDA-NEWS. Astrakhan III Int. Shipyard (MNP Group) has launched the sixth hull of dry-cargo ship project Azolla built for Rensen Shipbuilding B.V. (Netherlands).
The vessels of the series delivered earlier are under operation in Europe now, the fifth hull is currently being completed in Netherlands. The dry-cargo ship is intended for transportation of general, bulky cargoes, including grains, fertilizers, timber, international standard containers. Basic characteristics: length is 135 m, breadth - 14.2 m, depth - 4.8 m. The hull is constructed in accordance with the drawings, certified by Bureau Veritas. Class of the ship - S.l/LRS.Astrakhan III International Shipyard has extensive experience in hulls construction. 20 hulls for large-capacity barges of “Europa” type, containerships, dry-cargo ships, chemical tankers as well as three two-barge trains have been built and the yard during the last 10 years.
