OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2007. TGC-4 has effectively fulfilled the first year in new model of the wholesale market of the electric power (capacity). Realization of the electric power on competitive sectors (day ahead market) and balanced market has made more than 2, 5 billion kWh for this period, bought more than 2, 6 billion kWh. Economic effect of work in new model of the wholesale market of electric power has made more than 400 million rubles.

The work strategy of TGC-4 in the wholesale market has allowed the company to change operatively a mode and composition of the equipment; to increase volumes of realization of the electric power under the unregulated prices.

Besides, the analysis of work in a new model of the wholesale market has allowed making the proved decisions on modernization and reconstruction of power stations with the purpose of increase of their competitiveness. It became a basis of Company’s five years investment program which implementation should provide increase of financial stability and investment appeal of the Company.

According to the General Director of TGC-4 G.A. Kochetkov, “new model of the wholesale and retail markets of the electric power is the major stage in reforming of electric power industry. NOREM gives a market signals: for investors - on input of new effective power capacities; for consumers on introduction of power - saving technologies. Finally it is a powerful factor of the further development of the Russian economy”.
