URSA Bank Rankied Most Transparent Banks in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2007. The rating company Standard & Poor's put URSA Bank on the fourth place in its ranking of the most transparent banks in Russia, up from #17 in 2006. The Bank’s overall transparency score improved from 51% in 2006 to 62% in 2007.
The Transparency & Disclosure Survey of Russian Banks 2007 of Standard & Poor's covers 30 largest Russian banks. The criteria included 110 points. Standard & Poor’s estimated the amount of the transparency and disclosure of the information that is a key factor for investors: the volume and accessibility of the information, such as financial and operational information, ownership and corporate structure, corporate governance. This survey has been done in Russia since 2005 and is similar to Transparency & Disclosure Survey of Russian Companies, held annually since 2002.
As indicated by Standard & Poor's, URSA Bank is closely following the three leaders of the survey.
