OREANDA-NEWS. The Bellegprom concern should improve its operation, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko stated at the session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers. The session highlighted ways to stabilize the financial situation in the light industry, reported the Official website www.government.by.

Vladimir Semashko noted the importance of the Bellegprom Development Fund for the light industry. In his words, in H1 2007 the concern was reporting good results, however, in H2 GDP-forming companies slowed down production.

According to the First Vice Premier there are three weak companies in the Bellegprom concern, namely, Orsha Linen Mill, Pinsk-based Polesye and Kovry Bresta. He demanded that the Bellegprom administration focus on solving problems of these companies. Vladimir Semashko believes that the industry can work more effectively.
