OREANDA-NEWS. On October 08, 2007 the open joint-stock company TurboAtom (Kharkiv), which is a leading producer of hydro turbine equipment in the world, has won a tender for supply of steam-turbine plant for the Novocherassky state district power station (Rostov region, Russia) power unit, which is under construction, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

According to TurboAtom director general Viktor Subbotin, the equipment meets ecological demands. Presently the turbine is being designed and its production will start in second half of 2008.

The operational eight units of the Novocherassky state district power station have been already equipped with TurboAtom steam-turbines.

The Ukrainian enterprise's turbines are operational in 33 countries.
