OREANDA-NEWS. October 8, 2007. The applicants represent power and nuclear power engineering, materials science, production of construction materials, nuclear physics, biology, electronics, non-destructive testing, economics, innovations and many other spheres.  

The experts are supposed to carry out the following activities:

— to carry out independent assessment of innovative technologies and solutions for their further financing by sectoral venture fund;

— to conduct a technological audit of innovations;

— to develop plans of research and development activities;

— to make long-term development forecasts in different industries.

The Association of Experts in Science, Engineering and Innovations is being founded by Atom Innovation Center.

The Association is supposed to promote research and innovations in the nuclear power sector and other industries and to enhance the efficiency of innovative and research projects in the sphere.

Presently, Atom Innovation Center is actively working to create expert space, to develop specialized software and methodology, to collect data for experts, to carry out forecasts and other research activities.

Throughout its existence the Center has examined lots of projects, particularly, a number of innovative solutions for the NPP-2006 and the New Technological Platform. Presently, it is planning to examine projects concerning safe treatment of industrial, domestic and radioactive waste, high-tech medical equipment, equipment testing, electronics, etc. The Center’s experts are regularly involved in independent examinations of scientific, scientific-technical and industrial projects, investment program that can be used in the following spheres:

— nuclear power engineering, nuclear energy production cycle;
— power supply systems and alternative sources of energy;
— nano-technologies;
— testing systems;
— waste and water treatment systems;
— super-conducting and composite materials;
— safety systems;
— process management systems;
— oil and gas technologies;
— machine building technologies;
— High medical technologies.
