OREANDA-NEWS. October 8, 2007. S7 Airlines is launching a new charter program for the Russian and foreign tourists traveling to France.
Beginning with October 27, a Boeing-737-400 jetliner will carry the S7 passengers to the historic centers of France — Nantes and Dijon. The Moscow–Nantes flights will be operated on September 27, October 11 and 25, and November 08. The Moscow–Dijon flights will be available on October 04 and 18, and on November 01.
Nantes is a large city and a university center located in the estuary of the Loire River. In 939, Nantes became the capital of the province of Brittany. In the late 16th century, Nantes made its way into the world history. In 1598, King Henry IV of France signed a document in Nantes, which then became a cornerstone of the French history—the Edict of Nantes; it declared equality between the Catholics and the Protestants.
Dijon is considered one of the most beautiful French cities. Dijon was founded in the 6th century B.C. Primarily, this is a city of arts and great architecture. The Duke’s Palace, which has been under construction for nearly 400 years, is a magnificent monument of the historic past of France.
