OREANDA-NEWS. On October 01, 2007 Head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Control (Rostekhnadzor) Konstantin Pulikovsky has approved the findings of a state ecological commission concerning the planned operation of a complex for chemical-metallurgical processing of nuclear materials and a complex for radio-chemical processing and treatment of radioactive waste at Mayak production association, reported the press-centre of Rostekhnadzor.

The commission has found out that the relevant documentation complies with all federal ecological standards and that Mayak PA has necessary infrastructure, personnel and methodology for carrying out the planned activities.
