OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2007. KAMAZ-Metallurgy PLC developed new forging methods improving quality of products and reducing costs of production, reported the press-centre of KAMAZ.

The methods of “steering knuckles”, “crankshafts”, “flange forgings”, annular forgings and deep open-end hole forgings production were improved. Among the latter there is the advanced technology of “540 shaft” and “22/23 flange” forgings production.

New forgings have reduced machining allowance. It helps to save metal and cut machining tool and swarf clearing costs.
