OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2007. The meetings of the committee are part of the agreement for the peaceful use of nuclear energy signed by Russia and France on Mar 10 1993.

During the meeting the sides are expected to inform each other of the state and development prospects of their nuclear industries, to consider draft of the new Rosatom-CEA agreement and to discuss how to develop nuclear technologies and fuel cycle, how to effective treat radioactive waste, to safely decommission nuclear power plants and how to raise the public awareness of nuclear problems.
