OREANDA-NEWS. The book focuses on practical solutions to the financial and economic issues related to management of property insurance procedures using actuarial-mathematical methods and tools included in the mathematical software package Mathcard.

The theoretical prerequisites are illustrated by the sample calculations used in formation of property insurance tariffs, management of tariffs using such tools as conditional and unconditional franchise and insurance compensation limits. The book contains different versions of tariff calculation for insurance of liability of the industry’s systemic operator, accumulative insurance of objects exposed to catastrophic risks; examples of tariff management related to insurance coverage of machines and equipment against breakage risks, etc. The book also features economic feasibility calculations needed for selection of the proper reinsurance protection models.

Notwithstanding the fact that this monography has been intended primarily for the insurance professionals, its level of knowledge representation makes it sufficiently comprehensible for the wide range of readers with no professional insurance training, including employees of insured companies whose job involves decision-making on insurance protection issues.
