OREANDA-NEWS. Trip to Verkhoturye and Merkushino was organized by administration and labour union committee of Serovsk power networks by initiative of Veterans’ board of the enterprise.

This trip to visit the holy places of Verkhotursk urban district was timed to the Day of aged person which was celebrated on the 1st of October, - was told by Galina Balytnikova, a chairman of the labour committee. - This excursion was in a plan for a long time, but veterans couldn’t go to Verkhoturye and especially to Merkushino village by themselves cause of their age and material state. And that’s why administration and labour committee of Serovsk power networks decide dto organize this trip and rented comfortable bus taking into account wises of the veterans.

Veterans of the enterprise headed by their chairman - Emma Mikheeva - visited Church in name of Archistrategos Mikhail in Merkushino village: guide have told them about the history of the church and its reconstruction in 2004; veterans tried holy water from healing spring of Simeon Verkhoturskiy and touched his holy relic. Then veterans visited Church of All Saints (it should be noted that power supply for this church was made by Serovsk power networks, JSC “Sverdlovenergo”; it were who they have built the power line of 10 kW).
