OREANDA-NEWS. On September 26, 2007 Director General of JSC MHK “EuroChem” Dmitry Strezhnev and the heads of administration of Volgograd Region and Krasnodar Territory concluded cooperation agreements. This event took place within the framework of the international investment forum “Sochi-2007”, at which major investment projects of the Company were presented, reported the press-centre of ЕuroChem.

The agreement, signed by Dmitry Strezhnev and Nikolay Maksuta, the governor of Volgograd Region, regulates the cooperation in the area of investment activity. This agreement regards one of the “EuroChem’s” most important projects: development of Gremyachinskoye deposit situated in Volgograd Region and building an ore mining and processing enterprise based on this deposit for the purpose of producing mineral potash fertilizers. The agreement provides the following understanding:  

- The Company invests up to 50 billion rubles in construction of the Gremyachinskoye ore mining and processing enterprise, observes all the standards, norms and regulations established by the legislation of the Russian Federation and statutory acts of Volgograd Region, participates in regional social programs and provides workplaces at LLC “Eurochem-Volgakaliy”.

- Administration of the Region supports the Company for the purpose of increasing the efficiency of the project’s implementation on all the levels.

When the works at Gremyachinskoye deposit begin, MKH “Eurochem” is going to become the only Russian company to produce nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers.

Also, the agreement between JSC MHK “Eurochem” and Administration of Krasnodar Territory about socio-economical partnership in the year 2007 was concluded. Dmitry Strezhnev and Alexander Tkachev took part in the ceremony of signing the agreement. This agreement fixes the traditional measures of MHK “Eurochem” within the framework of corporate social responsibility program. It should be reminded, that such agreements are annually signed by MHK “Eurochem” with governing authorities of all the regions, where enterprises of the holding are located. For the year 2007, the Company’s investments into the consolidated budget of Krasnodar Territory are planned in the amount of 132 million rubles.
