OREANDA-NEWS. The Gazprom Board of Directors’ meeting that took place on September 28 at the Gazprom Headquarters examined an issue related to an opportunity to set up a venture fund for innovative technologies.The Management Committee was tasked to continue work in this direction.

According to the Gazprom press-service, the prospects of Gazprom business activity are related to the fulfillment of the projects in the regions with specific environmental conditions, stimulating the growth of demand for the unique equipment purposefully created for said projects.

The major Gazprom goals are to optimize and increase the efficiency of business activity on development of innovative technologies and technologic decisions, as well as receiving competitive advantages given by brand new types of products. The said scheme of implementation of  the new technology and equipment development is aimed at providing continuity and productivity of the innovative cycle. The scheme stipulates the venture financing infrastructure development to be applied for innovative projects based on the venture fund.
