OREANDA-NEWS. A banking sector of Ukraine's economics has become very attractive for investors, Director Kurt Geiger of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Department for Financial Institutions told, reported the Official website kmu.gov.ua. 

According to Geiger, "the banking sector of Ukraine's economics is diversified and competitive enough, it works operatively. Evidently, the Ukrainian banking market contains the largest share of foreign investments as compared with other CIS states. One more specific feature of the market is that of large banks are present here. We would like to cooperate with such banking institutions and keep on moving forward. The Ukrainian banking sector may contribute to the development of other commodity and service markets."

Kurt Geiger is on a visit to Kharkiv to sigh an agreement on extending credit to the tune of USD 20 million between the EBRD and MegaBank Joint-Stock Bank to finance small-sized regional business.
