OREANDA-NEWS. The Karmaskalinsky region in the Republic of Bashkortostan has hosted the opening ceremony of the Review-Competition “Gazprom Best Welder-2007” and Bashtransgaz Accredited Welder Test Facility.

The opening ceremony was attended by Murtaza Rakhimov, President of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Gazprom delegation chaired by Bogdan Budzulyak, Gazprom Management Committee Member, Head of the Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department.

Reporting at the ceremony, Bogdan Budzulyak told the participants about the prospects of Gazprom development. Particularly, the reporter pointed to the largest projects, which the Company plans to execute in near future.

“More than 5000 professional welders are employed by the Gazprom Group. Gas main reliability and secure operating, stable gas supply to domestic and foreign consumers mostly depend on the welder labor productivity, professional experience and qualification. The human factor still is the leading factor here despite rapid high tech production development and implementation.

The professional field skill Review-Completion “Gazprom Best Welder-2007” is an important event aimed at raising the professional prestige, experience sharing as well as professional skill enhancement,” said Bogdan Budzulyak.
