Severstal Avto involves Ulyanovsky Automobile Plant, Zavolzhsky Motor Plant, Midget Car Plant. It was set up in 2002 to provide management over the automotive assets of the Severstal major owners - Newdeal Investments (58%) being under the directror general, V.Shvetsov; free-float covering 42%. The 2005-consolidated net profit reached $54mln (IAS); revenues - $939mln; EBITDA - $128mln.

In 2006 the figures increased 9% to $25mln from $23mln; revenues - 36% to $538mln from $396mln; EBITDA - 38% to $72mln.
