OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2007. Since September 28, 2006 OJSC “Aeroflot” – Russian Airlines” has been conducting flight transit to/form Don Muang airport of Bangkok to a new Suvarnabhumi Airport, located 35km uptown. The flight schedule does not change.
Departure from Moscow: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday at 10.45 p.m.
Departure from Bangkok: Thursday, Saturday, Sunday at 12.50 p.m.
Suvarnabhumi Airport was built in 2006 and its annual capacity is 45 million of passengers. The airport is connected to highways and a monorail. Arrival/departure halls of domestic and international flights are designed to one building.
A new airport will provide space for all airlines, conducting regular international and domestic flights to/from Bangkok. Aeroflot will employ a more comfortable airport, i.e. increase the passenger service quality. A cutting-edge registration system will ease a pre-flight procedure. A new airport secures a special SkytTeam zone, equipped with separate registration desks for alliance passengers. The Aeroflot office will also be located here.
