OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2007. JSC “IDGC of the Center” issued an order on the procedure for an internal ecological audit and the implementation of an ecological management system in DGCs of the Company area.

Pursuant to the document and in accordance with the requirements of OAO RAO “UES of Russia” and JSC “IDGC of the Center” procedures, IDGC-1 grid companies have to accomplish the internal ecological audit by October 30, 2007 and make the appropriate changes in the ecological policy programs prior to their  implementation.

The internal ecological audit will be carried out by DGC specialists. IDGC-1 Technical Inspection Department specialists after attending the “Ecological Audit and Ecological Management” Courses will also participate in the auditing process.

The ecological audit program, approved by DGC Technical Director and based on JSC “IDGC of the Center” guidelines, will precede the ecological audit. Verification of documentation conformity with the Environmental Law, readiness assessment for implementing the ecological management system, the determination of efficiency of environmental activities, the estimation of suggested recommendations are in progress, while accomplishing the ecological audit.
A decision on the work order within the framework of the ecological management system with the aim of further JSC “IDGC of the Center” certification of conformity with ISO 14001:2004 international standard will be reached according to the results of internal audit  and performance evaluation of the internal audit organization – the implementation of the ecological management system in JSC “Yarenergo”.
