OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2007.  OAO RZD and CJSC Transmashholding singed contracts on producing and delivery of 212 units of new electric locomotives of E5K and EP2K types.

The contracts were signed by Vladimir Yakunin, President of OAO RZD and Dmitry Komissarov, Chairman of the BOD of Transmashholding.

According to the signed contracts, in 2007-2009 OAO RZD will receive 109 eight-wheel alternate current freight electric locomotives of E5K type which were manufactured in Novocherkassky plant and 103 direct current passenger electric locomotives which were manufactured in Kolomensky plant.
