OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ took the first place in Ukraine according to a truck sales analysis. In the first quarter of 2007, KAMAZ lagged behind its main competitor in the local market – MAZ considerably. But for 7 past months KAMAZ gained the first place having sold 1237 automobiles. Such are figures given by the company “Autoconsulting” (Kiev), according to the data of new vehicles registration, a press-release issued by KAMAZ reads.

KAMAZ is now the leader according to the total quantity of sold vehicles. KAMAZ became the leading brand not only in the tonnage category '8 tonnes and more', but also in the category from 3.5 tonnes up. So, the company left behind its main competitor in the 3.5-8 tonnes sector - Russian GAZ.
