OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation of Progress Energy, a USA company, had started its working visit to Kalinin NPP on September 17, the Information Department of Kalinin NPP reported.

The US company operates four NPPs: Harris, Crystal River, Robinson and Brunswick nuclear power plants. The visit is part of the Twinning cooperation program. The delegation is led by the vice president of Robinson NPP Thomas Walt. The deputy chief engineer of Kalinin NPP Anatoly Lupishko is the technical coordinator of the visit.

The American delegates are slated to discuss a wide range of problems: fuel, repairs, human factor, personnel training and encouragement, recruitment and PR. They are also planning to go sightseeing to Velikiy Novgorod and St.Petersburg.

The Twinning program was started 5 years ago. Lots of experts from twin-plants have visited Kalinin NPP since then. Our specialists also pay regular visits to foreign NPPs with a view to discuss problems and exchange experience.
