Bratsk Subsidiary of Ilim Group Releases Commodity Output
OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2007. During the first eight months of 2007, commodity output of Bratsk subsidiary of Ilim Group, established on the basis of Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill, amounted to 463.65 thousand tonnes, 12.8 thousand tonnes (2%) down as compared to January — August 2006.
Output of market pulp totaled 330.4 thousand tonnes, 3.9 thousand tonnes (1%) up as compared to the first eight months of 2006. Container board output amounted to 133.2 thousand tonnes, 16.8 thousand tonnes (11%) down year-over-year. Such a drop in output is due to a long-term realization of a large investment project to replace the in-line cutter-slitter of the board machine in the board line.
General pulping was at 503.2 thousand tonnes, 10 thousand tonnes (2%) down as compared to January – August 2006. Bleached softwood pulp output was at 176.1 thousand tonnes, 0.7 thousand tones (0.3%) down year-over-year. Bleached hardwood pulp output went up totalled 186.5 thousand tonnes, 5 thousand tonnes (2%) up year-over-year.
Over January — August 2007, 2 mln 223 thousand cu metres of raw materials were delivered to the pulp facilities, 35.7 thousand tonnes (1%) down year-over-year. Pulpchip output was at 1 mln 959 thousand cu metres, 90.9 thousand cu metres (4%) down as compared to the first eight months of 2006.
