OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2007. JSC “IDGC of the Center” top-managers met the representatives from several Japanese leading companies and investment funds:  KYUSHU ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY INC, SEIKO ELECTRIC CO. LTD, OASIS ADVISORS LIMITED, etc and the members from Koken-Kai association and Fukoka Association of Corporate Executives.

The main target of the delegation visit is to exchange experience, getting to know the Russian economy,  evaluate possibilities for investments and cooperation with Russian companies, primarily, with the power industry ones. Mr. Kenichi OHMAE, the president of Business Breakthrough Inc headed the Koken-Kai association, also the delegation participants were Mr. Masayoshi NUKI, Head Executive Director of KYUSHU ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY, INC, which renders technical services of power stations, Mr. Fudetoshi TANIGUCHI, the Managing Director of KYUDENKO CORPORATION ("KYUDENKO"- renders services in the area of power and communication equipment), Mr.Hiroaki OKUI, the president of KYUDEN SANGYO CO., INC ("KYUDEN SANGYO": environmental protection at power companies).

JSC “IDGC of the Center” managers described the processes, which are held in the framework of RF power grid complex restructuring, said about JSC “IDGC of the Center” mission and values, as well as, about its strategy and targets till 2015, and about implementation of the management system. In particular, they presented the matrix managerial system, results of QMS (quality management system) implementation, the ecological management system. The company managers paid attention to the customer focused principle, which is the basis of IDGC-1 grid companies work organization. Also, the process and project company management system, which is based on ARIS and SAP tools, was demonstrated.

“Several months ago Kenichi OHMAE, who is the Guru of Management according to the “Financial times” gave a master class in Moscow, which I participated in, - said Evgeny Makarov, the General Director of JSC “IDGC of Center”. – We agreed with him that during another trip to Moscow with the delegation of Japanese business representatives, we will meet to present JSC “IDGC of the Center”. One of such meetings was just held today, we got acquainted, said about our company, heard questions, heard  in what the Japanese entrepreneurs are interested in, made arrangements with Japanese power companies and we consider that the meeting was very useful”.

“This company made a great impression, - said  Kenichi OHMAE, - JSC “IDGC of the Center” succeeded in implementation of its management methods and all these guarantee its competitive ability when the industry will be privatized. It is a very interesting example for Japan, as the market in Japan is being deregulated. I think that in the nearest future we will cooperate.”

This is the first big visit of the representatives from several Japanese leading companies and investment funds to Russia. Also, the delegation will meet top-managers from other major Russian companies.
