OREANDA-NEWS. Last month 479 127 tons of sinter was produced, i.e. 97,8% of planned, 301 489 tons (100%) of pig iron, 379 390 tons (104%) of steel and 316 152 tons (102%) of rolled products. On the whole the workers have fulfilled the assignment overcoming certain negative factors. One of them was low coke quality, which lead to its high consumption during production of pig iron and as a result of this the prime cost of the product increased.

In the current month the situation regarding power resources and raw material is more stable. However, fulfillment of the plan and that is 477 800 tons of sinter, 287 300 tons of pig iron, 365 310 tons of steel and 305 449 tons of rolled products will require from the workers of Zaporizhstal increase of their labour productivity and high responsibility. Workers will have to work according to a punishing work schedule due to the repair of the twin bath steel melting aggregate. After its restoration the steel makers will have to make 54 ladles of steel per day.

In September all the services will have to activate their work to get prepared for the autumn-winter period. They will have to make a required storage of scrap, power resources and raw materials.
