OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2007. The Head of the Tambov region Administration, Mr Oleg Betin, and First Deputy General Director of JSC “IDGC of the Centre”, Mr Anatoly Merzlyakov had a working meeting on 12 th of September. The main topic of the discussion was the future development of the power industry in Tambov region in view of the final stage of industry reforming as well as the preparation for the coming autumn and winter periods.

The vital questions of the power industry future development in the region were discussed during the meeting. The implementation of Maintenance and Investment Programmes by JSC “Tambovenergo” was particularly stressed. Anatoly Merzlyakov assured the Governor of the region that till the end of November the maintenance of the distribution lines and substations will be fully completed as it was planned before.

Oleg Betin and Anatoly Merzlyakov also discussed the tariffs for new connections as well as the energy pricing policy in the region. As agreed the Coordination Board on Power Industry development in Tambov region will be established under the aegis of the local Administration. All the interested companies in the region will be involved in the Board’s work.

Anatoly Merzlyakov highlighted that much would depend on the managers of JSC “Tambovenergo” whose work could influence the pricing policy on energy in the coming year.

“I’m completely satisfied with the results of the meeting with the Head of the Tambov region Administration. We’ve got a constructive dialogue, Mr Betin recognized our problems and is ready to support us, - Anatoly Merzlyakov gave the comments on the meeting results. – In view of the coming Unified Operating Company the DGC has got enough to resolve. This means uninterrupted work of the grid complex, Company customer-focus. But the implementation of the plans will depend a lot on the tariff component. JSC “Tambovenergo” sets the foundation for the future today”. 

Afterwards the business meeting was proceeded with the increased number of members. The First Deputy Governor, Vladimir Andreev, Deputy Governor – Head of the Fuel –and – Energy Complex (FEC) and Housing –and- Utilities Infrastructure (HUI) Department, Nikolay Perepechin, Deputy General Director of JSC “IDGC of the Centre” – the Managing Director of JSC “Tambovenergo”, Vladimir Kholoptsov, The Head of the Committee on national tariff regulation in Tambov region, Valentin Pronin, took part in the working session of the meeting. The participants discussed many key points, including the preparation for the coming autumn – winter pick loads.
