OREANDA-NEWS. It is the fifth time that SIBUR exhibited its products at the 14th International Chemical Exhibition "Chemistry - 2007" held on 3-7 September.

The 15000 sq.m exhibition complex "Expocenter" at Krasnaya Presnya welcomed close to 900 companies including both domestic and international leaders of petrochemistry, namely SIBUR, Kazanorgsintez, Kuibyshevazot, Kauchuk, Polyplastik, Akzo Nobel, Bayer, BASF, DOW, Solvay and others.

The company’s two-storey exhibition stand (137 sq.m) was designed in accordance with the latest global trends, its high-tech style being supported by the modern laconic elements.

The display stand showcased SIBUR products: synthetic rubbers, plastics, mineral fertilizers, non-woven fabric and other products. The attendees (over 700 people) could get consultation from the company’s specialists on technology and marketing issues, as well as get the insight into the new production projects such as Otechestvennye Polimery, RusVinyl and Tobolsk-Polimer by using sensory monitors. The visitors to the SIBUR show floor were also offered a corporate video that enlightened the production activity of the company and its brand new products.

In 2005, the company won the competition organized as part of the exhibition. It was awarded three gold medals and one silver medal for its oil-extended styrene-butadiene rubber DSSK-2545М-27, nitrile-butadiene rubber SKN-ЗЗАSМE, random copolymer of propylene and ethylene 23007-30Т, and synthetic rubber BSK-1904 with high content of styrene correspondingly.

The exhibition was first held in 1965 and is now organized every two years. It is a large-scale event in the chemical sector of Russia and the CIS showcasing feedstock and equipment for the chemical and petrochemical industry, production of organic synthesis products, chemical fibers, etc.
