Awarding the best managers of Republic with granting the golden breast sign and diploma of Laureate was held yesterday as part of celebration of 85-y.o jubilee from formation of planning bodies of Republic. The honor diplomas of laureates of competition "Manger of the Year -2006" were granted by the Premier of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minihanov. Congratulating with the win, the Premiere said: "On these people depends the economists ideas realization. Russia joining the WTO puts serious tasks. Because of this the requirements enhance to managers as well. I think that today’s winners may serve an example for many of us".

The competition involved over 130 mangers of companies and organizations of various type of ownership. They fought for win in 9 nominations in competitiveness enhancing, innovations, investments, staff potential development, enhancing the social responsibility, input in small business development, provision of economical safety. Deputy General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Damir Safiullin was acknowledged the manager of the year in nomination "For High Level of Corporate Management".

Damir Harunovich Safiullin finished Kazan State University, he majored in jurisprudence. Since 1999 he worked as the head of legal department; since 2000 as the head of legal office, assistant to General Director of JSC "Tatenergo". Since 2003 he has been the Deputy General Directorа of Tatarstan power holding for corporate policy and assets management. In this position Damir Safiullin occupies the key position in reorganization of the power system and creation of practically brand new structure in the industry, and regarding the capitalization of the power holding and entrance upon the wholesale electricity market.

Due to professionalism of Damir Safiullin the reforms were implemented meeting the rights and interests of the stockholders and promoted the enhanced capitalization of JSC "Tatenergo", the activity of the holding company received high appreciation of international business community. In 2006 the rating of corporate management of JSC "Tatenergo" was heightened by Consortium of Russian institute of directors and rating agency "Expert RА" till "В++", proving the low risks of corporate management and its conformity with the laws. The major criteria of work of stock companies to date is the information transparency. To the aim of its enhancing in the Holding the corporate procedures are being improved.

Heading today the Head Quarters for work with consumers, founded in JSC "Tatenergo" in January 2007 for control over meeting the applicable laws in relations between subsidiaries, branches of "Tatenergo" holdingа with consumers, Damir Harunovich continue improving the work of the power holding in light of modern demand to power supply organization.

The Head Quarters receive signals about any violations in the holding companies or in case of no response from consumers. Work of this "intermediary" chain allowed to detect the faults in relations of subsidiaries and branches of JSC "Tatenergo" with consumers and would allow to make effective decisions and prevention of future faults in power companies operation.
