OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2007. Atom Innovation Center is going to publish articles by participants in the fair of innovative projects “Atomeco-2007”

The organizers of the fair of innovative ecological projects “Atomeco-2007,” the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy (Rosatom), Atomenergoprom OJSC and Atom Innovation Center, are going to publish a book of articles by the participants in the fair. The objective of the Fair is to create communication space for discussing high-tech projects that can help to solve the urgent problems of the nuclear power sector and other industries.

In this light, we would like to ask all the applicants to consider the possibility of writing articles (some 3–5 pages).

The book will be published in Russian in printed and electronic (CD-ROM) form, just as was the case at NPP-2006 fair. The CD will also include articles in English. The articles will be placed on the web-site of Atom Innovation Center www.runtech.ru.   

The application deadline is Oct 30 2007.

Atomeco-2007 will present projects for treating radioactive waste, transporting radioactive materials, decommissioning nuclear power plants and other radioactive facilities, recovering the environment, processing industrial and domestic waste, etc. and will analyze the investment appeal of the solutions that might be applied under the Federal target Program for the Development of the Nuclear Power Industry of Russia in 2007–2010 and -2015 and the Federal Target Program “Nuclear and Radiation Safety 2008–2015.”

One more goal of the fair is to intensify innovative activities in nuclear power engineering, machine building and construction with a view to attract private investments and to develop the innovative infrastructure. 

The projects will be examined by leading experts.

The congressional part of the fair will take place on Dec 4–5 2007 and will consist of an exhibition and presentation of the most attractive projects, an international conference, roundtables, business meetings.
