OREANDA-NEWS. Certification Association “Russian Register” has granted Angarsk Electrolytic Chemical Combine ISO 14001:2004 certificate

The key objective of the ecological policy of AECC is to reduce its negative effects on the environment.

The policy stipulates that the management and the personnel of the company should comply with the ISO 14000 requirements. In Apr 2007 Certification Association “Russian Register” inspected AECC to see if it complies with the ecological management standards.

As a result of the audit, the company has been granted:

- “Russian Register” Certificate *(in Russian and English);

- IONet Certificate (in English).

The certificates took force on Aug 29 2007.

The certification has confirmed AECC’s compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 standards.

The next audit is scheduled for July-Aug 2008.

One of the key elements of AECC’s ecological policy is PR. The company’s management regularly inform the public of their activities.

In 2006 AECC issued a report on its ecological activities containing detailed information about the company’s negative effects on the environment and environment protection plans. The report was made public.
