Loan Portfolio of Parex Bankas Exceeded One Billion Litas
OREANDA-NEWS. September 04, 2007. The loan portfolio of AB Parex Bankas has grown by 88,3 percent since the beginning of the year, and amounted to LTL 1021 million on 1 September. The share of the loan market occupied by the bank has increased by 0,55 percentage points since the beginning of the year, and constitutes 1,95 percent of the market, reported the press-centre of Parex Bankas.
“Rapid growth rates of the loan portfolio have been achieved through the active development of partnership both with large Lithuanian companies, like Achema concern companies, Ranga IV, and small and medium sized enterprises, for which we offered new financial solutions this year. I’m glad that in implementing the idea of a socially responsible bank, we are leaders of financing the modernisation of multi-dwelling buildings in Lithuania,” informed Alma Vaitkunskiene, Chairwoman of the Board of Parex Bankas.
Since the beginning of the year, the loan portfolio for private customers of Parex Bankas has grown by almost 95 percent, and currently exceeds LTL 500 million. The market share of the loan portfolio of private customers occupied by the bank increased by 0,6 percent this year, and the growth rate, according to the data of the Association of Lithuanian Commercial Banks as of August, was the biggest as compared to other banks in Lithuania.
According to Andrius Bernotas, Director of the Retail Banking Division, such perfect results have been achieved due to a professional team which pays particular attention to speedy and qualitative service of every customer.
AB Parex Bankas has been pursuing active development in Lithuania: 15 new Parex Bankas customer service units were opened in 2006 and the first half of 2007. In Lithuania, Parex Group is represented by AB Parex Bankas, UAB Parex Faktoringas ir Lizingas (Parex Factoring and Leasing) and UAB Parex Investiciju Valdymas (Parex Investment Management).
