OREANDA-NEWS. September 04, 2007. On August 26- 30 the Asian Swimming Championship for adults, juniors and youth took place in Jakarta city (Indonesia), reported the press-centre of AUB.

Sportsmen from 24 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, which sent there its 6 best swimmers, took place in the competition.

Our sportsmen came back with 7 medals of different nominal, and took the 10th team place. Yury Zakharov (gold and silver medals), Vasily Danilov (silver and bronze medals) and fourteen-year-old Aleksey Klimenko (gold, silver and bronze medals became prize winners of the Championship. It is the greatest success of our swimmers for the past ten years.

Being conscious of the importance of the country’s sports achievements at the international sports arena and of sport life-style popularization, AsiaUniversalBank regularly supports many sports events.

In particular, AUB was a general sponsor of Swimming Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2006, has sponsored it in 2007 and has supported the young winners of the Asian Championship.
