OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2007.  The company’s first social report of 2006 has been published on the SIBUR official web-site (www.sibur-holding.com) in the section "social responsibility".

The document fully describes the company’s activity in the sphere of ecology, social policy, industrial safety and charity of the last year.

In particular, the gradual reduction of the plants’ environmental impact is notified as the result of overage units remove and integration of new treatment technologies for waste and effluent as well as installation of automated ecological monitoring system.  In 2006 there was allocated about 1 bln rubles for the implementation of the task program "Environment quality control". 

SIBUR costs on social programs comprised more than 1 bln rubles last year. The major part of funds was aimed on the social assets support as well as social and charity payments. SIBUR pays special attention to employees’ professional growth. In 2006 more than 38 thousands of employees got the additional trainings.

Social responsibility in terms of strict tax law compliance and charity is an integral part of SIBUR activity.  In 2006 total tax payments exceeded 8 bln rubles.

Social report will be available to all interest groups and become a background for discussion of the company’s further steps in the social sphere.

Preparation and presentation of consolidated social results demonstrate company’s efforts to use world experience in building steady dialogue with every interest group as well as providing sustainable development of business.
