OREANDA-NEWS. September 4, 2007. Councilor of RF President on military technological policy, Alexander Burutin has visited Sevmash.

He met the Director General of the enterprise, Nikolay Kalistratov, familiarized with implementation of state defense order, commercial projects, and contract of military technical cooperation with India.

Focus was on inspection of nuclear submarine “Yury Dolgoruky”, aircraft carrier of India Naval Forces and marine platforms. The reports of Deputies Director General on main industrial disciplines were listened. Being relevant, issues on personnel policy were discussed. Alexander Burutin visited buildings, where it is planned to settle non-resident workers.

During meeting prospects of enterprise technical re-equipment were considered, on which its competitive ability directly depends. Means for facility modernization will be provided by Federal Target Program “Development of Civil Marine Equipment for Period up to 2016”. Discussing enterprise reincorporation as a joint-stock company, the Councilor of the President informed, that in the middle of September it is planned to sign documents about registration of OAO “Obyedinennaya Sudostroitelnaya Corporatsiya”, which board of directors will be headed by the Vice-Premier, Sergey Naryshkin and 7 Federal Ministers will be included in it. Burutin, who heads execution of Vladimir Putin’s decree about OSK establishment, is designated to the president of this corporation. Sevmash will be included in one of three sub-holding companies – ОАО “Severny Tsentr Sudostroyeniya i Sudoremonta”.

In the end of the visit to Sevmash Alexander Germanovich commented: “It is important to understand, in which condition the enterprise approaches the moment of reincorporation as a joint-stock company, which problems have risen when assets rating, how management system is formed. It was important for me to communicate with a new head of Sevmash, Nikolay Kalistratov, get to know with his plans on realization of the most “critical” orders, understand, how it is possible to activate federal executive body, in order to improve production situation at the enterprise and fulfill all plans of state arming program in time specified by the President. Now I understand general view and realize what shall be done, if I was appointed as the Head of OSK.”
