OREANDA-NEWS. September 3, 2007.  Kazan was visited by representatives of the biggest in Pakistan metallurgical company Pakistan Steel Mills C.Ltd. and Ural Mining- Metallurgical Company (UMMC).

General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" Ilshat Fardiev and General Director of "UK "KER-Holding Ltd" Hamis Makhyanov received delegation of management of Pakistan company Grid Pakistan, that is the official agent of Ministry of Power Engineering of Pakistan аnd technical representative of the biggest in Pakistan metallurgic company Paksteel, that arrived for further cooperation development and building the long-term relationships with power complex of Tatarstan. To date the in Pakistan where the existing plants are rehabilitated and the new generation operations are under construction, are operating the branches "KER-Holding", which is the general contractor of JSC "Tatenergo" for maintenance and repair оf energy facilities. These are Engineering Center "Energoprogress Ltd", "KamEnergoRepair Ltd", "KER-Avtomatika Ltd" etc.

As said General Director of Grid-Pakistan Masud Asghar the work of engineering company impressed mush. "We can be proud that we work with them ", -said he and emphasized that the offer by "KER-Holding" was the first bid for upgrading the unit №№1 and 2 of CHP "Guddu" with recovery of capacity of each till 110 МW. It is not the first tender won by Tatarstan repair Holding for repair of boiler and turbine facilities abroad. In the last years specialists of "KER-Holding" worked in Cuba, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Syria, Kazakhstan.

Guests from Ural got interested in construction of entities of small generation, specifically, the first in Republic gas turbine (GT), commissioned at Kazan CHPP-1 in February 2006. Representatives watched facilities and familiarized with stages of construction of the GT and experience of this project management. KER-Holdingreceived acknowledgement, it acted as the general contractor of construction and commissioning of the object. "In the present we are on the stage of determination of basic measures of our power strategy and its realization. In these terms the Tatarstan specialists expertise is demonstrative", - told Leonid Maltsev, the head of the Office of economical analysis and business-planning of UGMK-Holding.

We’ll remind that KER-Holding was founded by merger of several research, construction and repair organizations over 5 years ago. Then Tatenergo was of the first in Russia to start reforms of the Republican power system and separated the non-core activities beginning from repair divisions "KamEnergoRepair" and "Tatenergorepair". These companies with half-century experience of repairs in power engineering area became the core of the KER-Holding, that today unites 12 servicing companies and several research centers in Kazan and has the status of the company that can develop and implement projects of various difficulty.
