MSZ Took Part in MAKS-2007
OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2007. Mashinostroitelny Zavod (MSZ) took part in the 8-th International Aviation and Space Salon held in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, reported the press-centre of MSZ.
The enterprise exhibited thin-walled seamless cold-rolled tubes made of stainless steel and titanium; constant magnets - ferrite-strontium magnets of different shape and sizes and high-energy Nd-Fe-B magnets; and calcium metal. The MSZ produces tubes using the cold-rolling technology (drawing), which are applied in aviation industry. The exhibition has demonstrated that the guaranteed high quality of produced tubes (in particular, metallographic inspection of the tube material, ultrasonic testing of metal, inspection of surface quality and geometry) is a significant competitive advantage of MSZ in the tube market and is in demand.
The MSZ’s display booth visitors noted a great variety of offered products in terms of materials, sizes and quality; interest was shown as to capabilities of the enterprise to produce small batches of tubes under specific customer’s orders.
In 2006 Mashinostroitelny Zavod joined two international associations – the Association of Aero Engines Manufacturers, which unites world’s largest companies producing aviation engines, and the International Association Titan, which incorporates leading producers of titanium items and related industrial institutions. At present, Kaluga Turbine Plant is the largest customer for titanium tubes of Mashinostroitelny Zavod. First batches of tubes have been supplied there since June 2007.
