104.8 mln tons of coal were carried from Kuzbass, OAO RZD’s Department of Corporate Communications reports.

30 coal companies operate in Russia. They control 97% of coal extraction. Big centers of coal industry are situated in Ural and Siberia.

OAO RZD and its affiliates provide transport services to the companies and transport coal to electric power stations and others enterprises.

Now coal transportation amounts to 20% from the total loading volume of the company.
