OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2007. The Central Board of Statistics of Donetsk region informed that Khartyzsk Tube Works went into the five of the most profitable enterprises of Donetsk region according to the profit performance from regular activity before the taxation and charged income tax for 2006.

The profit of KhTW from regular activity before the taxation in 2005 amounted to 204 019 thousand hryvnas, in 2006 - 552 832.5 thousand hryvnas. The charged income tax from regular activity in 2005 amounted to 67 726.7 thousand hryvnas, in 2006 - 159 633.6 thousand hryvnas.

The profit of KhTW from regular activity before the taxation for six months 2007 as compared to the same period of the last year grew by 146 360.1 thousand hryvnas (57 %) up to 404 743.3 thousand hryvnas.

Realizing corporate social responsibility principles introduced by "Metinvest" Group, Khartyzsk Tube Works proved the reputation of a diligent taxpayer and was awarded the Gratitude of the State Tax Administration in Donetsk region "For the High Level of Tax Culture and Diligent Performance of Tax Obligations in 2006 ".

In 2006 KhTW transferred to budgets of all levels 180.4 million hryvnas of taxes, gatherings and obligatory payments, which exceeded in 2,3 times the sum of corresponding transfers in 2005. Within six months of the current year KhTW transferred to budgets of all levels 150.7 million hryvnas which is three times more, than for the corresponding period last year.

The Director General of KhTW Andrey Shyshatskyy has commented: "The financial revenues are the result of the leadership strategy which has been pursued by the works within last years. The leadership strategy of "Metinvest" Group is aimed at development of the world class coal-metallurgical company: reliable, effective and socially responsible".
