OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2007. The signing of the contracts on EPS (engineering procurement construction) terms provides engineering, supply of materials and construction of the project on a turnkey basis with responsibility of general contractor for all possible risks.

Recently, such contracts have been applied in JSC “IDGC of Center” as the most acceptable in conditions of the power units’ construction development.

“The single supplier with the professional project managers allows to minimize the company risks, reduce the deadlines, optimize the work with a lot of subcontractors, - said Vladimir Bykov, the Head of Purchasing Sector of Investment Department of JSC “IDGC of Center”. The most important factor in EPS contracts is the responsibility of the contractor to meet the deadlines of unit commissioning, reducing the fixed costs level and project implementation total cost, as a consequence.”
