OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2007.  Kyivstar launched new "Tracker" service which is based on LBS-technology (Location-based services). Service will be useful for those families, who take care on their relatives safety and want to know where members of their families are located. "Tracker" is available for all Kyivstar and DJUICE subscribers.

"Tracker" allows to check family member location via SMS, MMS or Internet, and also receive information about entering or leaving some specific zone. To use this service one should create group of subscribers (so-called "family") and add there members of the family (consent from each member required). Each month all "family" members receive SMS-message with list of people who are able to locate them. There is also a possibility to delete your own number from "family" list at any time.

To use "Tracker" service it is necessary to have mobile phone and connection to Kyivstar network. In order to receive fragment of map with your relatives’ location you should set up WAP or MMS function or use PC, connected to Internet.

"Tracker" service is available for prepaid and contract Kyivstar subscribers and also for DJUICE subscribers at Kyiv, Dnepropetrovs’k, Donets’k, Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhya. In future list of cities will be increased.
