OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2007. JSC “Aeroflot” started exploiting mobile automatic check-in desks at Russian airports.

The use of mobile automatic desks will allow the airline company to check-in passengers on the basis of the Sabre program at those Russian airports where stationary automatic check-in desks are absent.

The new service allows to introduce a technology of Aeroflot e-ticket on the Russian destinations where systems of automatic check-in are absent and to launch a range of additional services: through check-in in the point of departure for transit passengers, self check-in desks etc.

According to Sergey Kiryushin, Deputy General Director – Director of IT Department, Aeroflot is going to supply mobile check-in desks to up to ten Russian airports where it will be technically impossible to use stationary desks.
