OREANDA-NEWS. On August 09, 2007 Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 has received a VB100 award from respected British magazine Virus Bulletin, reported the press-centre of Kaspersky Lab.
The August issue of Virus Bulletin features a report on comparative testing of 20 popular antivirus products on the Windows Vista x64 Business Edition platform. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 was developed with the new and distinctive features of Microsoft’s new operating system in mind, resulting in full compatibility and superior stability in the Windows Vista environment, confirmed by the Certified for Windows Vista logo.
In the course of testing Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0, the author of the review John Hawes noted the new product’s “fine-grained configurability” and “the solid thoroughness of the detection”: during scanning, and all of the malicious programs from the Virus Bulleting test set were successfully removed while legitimate programs caused no false positives. Hawes also mentioned the improved user interface of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0, which he called “high-tech” and “space-age”.
The superlative level of malicious program detection without any false positives has brought Kaspersky Anti-Virus another well-earned VB100 award.
